The commercial sex workers at Tarkwa Railway Station in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem municipality of the Western Region have reviewed their services to render “House-to-House” services to attract more customers.
This according to them has become necessary, because most of the customers who go to their brothel have stopped. An event which is affecting their business so badly.
Speaking to Ghananest.com in an interview, one of the sex workers said that a lot of customers were patronizing them even when the COVID-19 was at its peak last year.
“Customers were all over here last year and had to select from them men who were ready to pay more, but today everything has changed, the customer’s hardly come here nowadays,” she stressed.
“We have resolved to render “House-to-House service since they are not coming, maybe it could be as a result of the novel coronavirus pandemic and if they want us to serve them at their homes we are ready,” she added.
Things have moved from bad to worse even when we have reduced our prices.
“Initially our prices were ranging from 10 cedis to 30 cedis per round and have to review it downward to 5 cedis to 10 cedis to attract the customers, even with that they are not coming, not even the galamsey guys who are our principal clients,” she said .
The prostitutes, mainly Nigerian nationals between the ages of 14 to 35 years, are mostly seen around the Tarkwa Railway Station doing their “Call business”.
