MP AND MCE commission three-unit classroom block with other facilities at Nyaso in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem

The Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency, George Mireku-Duker and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Benjamin Kesse has Commissioned a three-unit classroom block, office, computer lab, staff common room and a store for Nyaso community in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem municipality of the Western Region.

The facility which was funded through the Mineral Development Fund (MDF) was to make education accessible to the people within the community.
At a ceremony to commission the facility, the MP, Mr. Mireku-Duker indicated that the classroom block was to provide a relief to the people who walk several miles to attend JHS at other adjoining communities.
He said, education is the bedrock of every nation hence the need to focus more on the education of the children in order to secure a brother future for them and the nation at large.
Speaking after the short ceremony, the MP said, he takes delight in the children who will be accessing education in their own community without going elsewhere.
Hon. Mireku-Duker admonished parents to invest more in their children’s education for a better future.
The Minicipal Education Director of Tarkwa-Nsuaem, Alex K. Duah addressing the gathering at the ceremony said that the education directorate has brought in additional two teachers to beef up the teaching staff at Nyaso JHS.
He also urged the teachers to work to improve the academic performance of the children.
The Chief of Nyaso, Nana Esoun Kumah II in an interview pledged to assist the teachers with all the support they will need as well as providing them with teacher’s bangulow to enable them discharge their duty diligently.
The ceremony was attended by Chief of Nyaso, Nana Esoun Kumah II, and his elders, the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Coordinating Director, Works Engineer, Heads of Department and the NPP party supporters.
