Mahama is the “most inconsistent” politician in Ghana – Mac Manu

The National Campaign Manager for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mac Manu has urged Ghanaians to disregard the frivolous promises being made by former President John Dramani Mahama, adding that the latter is the most inconsistent politician in the country.

According to him, the NDC flagbearer makes different pronouncements on one issue at different times.

Mr. Mac Manu made the comments on the sidelines of the inauguration of the NPP’s constituency and polling station campaign teams in the Western Region over the weekend.

Making reference to the ongoing Okada debate, Mr. Mac Manu recalled how the then NDC government banned the operations of Okada riders and that it was quite surprising that Mr. Mahama is promising to legalize their (Okada) operations when he wins power. He added that Mahama’s different stance on the free SHS policy is also a perfect example of his inconsistency.

“He is giving frivolous promises and we are not bothered because what the voters expect from us as a party in government is what we have delivered and looking forward to doing more”, he posited.

Mac Manu said during the electioneering campaign, the person who matters most is the voter, adding that the voter is the heartbeat of every campaign and not the opposition candidate.

Mr. Mac Manu indicated that the NPP has “interacted with Ghanaians as a party to know their expectations and needs and that is what we are working out for them.”

According to him, NPP is not bothered about what former president Mahama goes about promising, “but we are more concerned about the welfare of Ghanaian voters because they matter most in elections and governance.”

“To me, it’s about what the voters want, so we have conducted research, polls and it has informed us on what we should do,” Mr. Mac Manu said.
