A level- 100 student of the University Of Cape Coast has been killed by a hit and run driver.
The B.Com student was killed by a vehicle which was speeding at Ayensodu, near the UCC satellite campus of the Nduom School of Business and Technology.
Announcing the death of the student in a statement, Public Affairs Director for the University, Major Kofi Baah Bentum, said the 19- year- Old student, Priscilla Owusu, was in the company of her friends when the unfortunate incident happened.
According to him, the Sprinter bus knocked the student when the driver was overtaking another vehicle.
He said the Saltpond Police is investigating the issue.
“The University management extends it condolence to the bereaved family “, the statement added.
Unconfirmed reports from Cape Coast indicates that the driver sped-off after hitting the student.
