Disqualified NPP Parliamentary Aspirant In Takoradi Donates to support Campaign in Western Region

Disqualified Parliamentary Aspirant of Takoradi and former Youth Organiser for Takoradi Constituency, Frederick Kakraba Sam Inkoom has donated 20 motorbikes, 20 helmets, four communication gadgets, stationary, 400 ablution kettles, all amounting to over 100,000 Ghana cedis to the Western Regional Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party.

He also donated an undisclosed amount of cash to the party.

The donation was made through his foundation, Frederick Kakraba Sam Foundation.

The gesture was a seen of shock for many members of the party yesterday, when the donor who was recently disqualified from contesting the NPP parliamentary primaries in Takoradi showed a great sign of dedication and humility by making a huge donation towards the NPP’s 2020 campaign.

Mr. Sam Inkoom, proved to his critics that he is not habouring any ill motive against his party when he presented some items and cash worth thousands of Ghana cedis to the NPP Western Region secretariate to aid them in the 2020 electioneering campaign.

His disqualification under bizzare circumstances by the vetting committee has never pushed him to contest the parliamentary seat in Takoradi as asindependent candidate even when people from the party persuaded him.

Some of his critics felt he was going to stop supporting the NPP as a result of his disqualification.

His supporters at the time, pointed accusing fingers at his main contender who is the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Takoradi, Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah who doubles as the Western Regional Minister, for orchestrating his disqualification with the fear of ousting him in the primaries if allowed to contest.

But, speaking at the donation ceremony, Mr. Kakraba Sam said despite his unfair disqualification, he wanted to demonstrate to the world that he is a true NPP member and would never do anything to undermine the party.

He stressed that though his disqualification was unfair, he remains dedicated to the NPP.

According to him, there have been several calls on him by NPP members to run as an independent parliamentary candidate for the Takoradi Constituency, but he has rejected all those calls because he remains loyal to the party.

So I’m using this opportunity to call on all my colleague aspirants who were disqualified either fairly or unfairly to put everything aside and rally their support behind the party…

I’m also calling on particularly those in the Takoradi Constituency to throw their support behind Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah who’s the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Takoradi and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to ensure a decisive win for the NPP on December 7,” he said.

He was hopeful that the donation would boost the NPP campaign in the Western Region and increase the parliamentary seats in the upcoming elections.

The NPP Western Regional Chairman, Mr. Francis Ndede Siah, who received the items on behalf of the party, thanked Mr. Kakraba Sam Inkoom for the kind gesture.

He promised to put the items into good use to ensure that NPP win the December polls.

He urged other NPP members to emulate the good example set by Mr. Frederick Kakraba Sam Inkoom.
